Otter Tracks! - Raymond Reservation, Sudbury
I decided to try a new place today, to get some good content for March. Raymond Reservation. It's near the border between Framingham and Sudbury, but is mostly in Sudbury. Maybe I should call this "Metrowest Wildlife Blog". The best way to access it's trails, I heard from a friend, is to bike all the way down the Nobscot rail trail. The reservation is based around a tributary of the Sudbury River "Landham Brook", which is a part of the Wash Brook Parcel. The Wash Brook Parcel is an area around the system of brooks which flow into the Sudbury River in south - Sudbury. The area is treeless, and has formed a MASSIVE wetland ecosystem. Here are all my photos (with explainations and labels) from that long hike:
...I think a fox may have been here

I searched hard for coyote dens, but couldn't find any. After finding the otter tracks, the decision was easy. I mounted my camera right next to them, (around 5 feet). I placed some sausage leftovers and hardened grease in the view of the camera, to attract the otters, and any other wetland animal that gets drawn in my the scent. I'm guessing i'll get a raccoon, or mouse, or mink or something as well.
